This Pablo Picasso " Couleurs Des Maitres " very rare vintage 1946 first edition fine art lithograph print collector's French Modern Art hardcover book is an incredibly special and unique book to add to your library collection.
The hardcover art book with tan linen covered boards, embossed cover titles, and dust jacket is published by Braun & CIE - Paris, London, New York. The " Colors of The Masters " series book is published under the direction of George Besson. Engraved and printed by Braun & CIE at Mulhouse-Dornach, Haut-Rhin, France in 1946.
It features a monograph survey collection of the artworks of the artist Pablo Picasso, with accompanied compelling critical survey essay in French language text authored by Picasso's close friend Jamie Sabartes the Spanish artist, poet and writer.
Pablo Picasso ( 1881 - 1973 ) was a Spanish born painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, poet and playwright who spent most of his life in France. He is regarded as one of the most important and influential artists of The Twentieth Century. Exceptionally prolific throughout the course of his long life, Picasso achieved universal renown and immense fortune for his revolutionary artistic accomplishments, and became one of the most well known figures in 20th Century Art.

The rare out of print 1st edition hardcover Modern Art book measures 8 5/8" W X 10 7/8" H X 3/8" D, with 70 pages. It is printed on premium paper stock featuring 35 illustrations, and an index of plates.
It is in excellent vintage condition consistent with age, use, light signs of handling, and some light to moderate visible wear to the dust jacket.
