A large ceramic plate in clay by Irish artist Gabrielle, featuring an image of the head of the goddess Venus, as depicted by the Italian Renaissance painter Sandro Botticelli in his famous “Birth of Venus” work (c. 1480). The image is famous for Botticelli’s rendering of Venus’s long, flowing golden hair.
The image on the plate is hand-painted in acrylics in multiple colors over a light-blue background.
