Finest Parisian French quality, with curved lines in the style of Louis XV. Made of Rosewood, inlaid with satinwood dressed down in striking gilt bronze mounts. Top features a curved parquetry surface, below which is a large heavenly floral inlaid lid / door. When opened, it reveals a fitted interior, two pairs of drawers above the gilt / gold tooled rouge red leather lined writing surface. Below the lid in the front we have another large drawer, beautifully dovetailed, as are the smaller drawers inside. The interior is finished same way as is the piece. Standing on four tall downward tapering Louis XV curved legs, ending in bronze sabot mounts. Please take a good look, these are superb quality bronze mounts! Condition is good overall, shows minimal age / use wear, was refinished recently (please see photos). Size is great to fit in any room, house or apartment, at 39" tall to the highest point, 29.5" wide, 18" deep front to back, desk writing surface is 29.5" height, and the knee clearance is 23.5 " in height. Great for use as a desk or hall console table, will work in any setting, traditional or mid-century modern. Spectacular quality piece that will take your breath away every time you see it! See less
