the armchairs—here featuring the extremely rare matching ottoman—model mp-91 “earth”—were designed and produced in brazil during the 1960s and 1970s by the renowned furniture manufacturer percival lafer.

percival lafer is a contemporary brazilian furniture manufacturer and a pioneer of brazilian modernism.
this charismatic living room lounge set made of genuine leather includes two armchairs and a matching ottoman.
the seat shell is identical to that of the well-known design object, the “earth chair,” by percival lafer.
the frame is made of fine, solid jatoba wood

distinctive features include the beautiful dark brown patinated leather, the organically curved seat shell—which appears to float—and the angular, minimalist base.

condition
the items are in good and attractive vintage condition, with occasional minor, subtle, and small signs of wear and age.
