An ebonized oak English Arts and Crafts reclining chair, circa 1900, recently restored and having newer velvet upholstery in a soft sage green with just a hint of a golden undertone. A wooden bar fitted into channels at the back of each arm allows this substantial chair back to recline in three positions. The understated detail and tailored form blend easily into most interior styles while the plush velvet and soft seat cushion are unexpectedly comfortable .
