This very rare indigo-colored Ikat textile features traditional hand-woven patterns.
This bird pattern skirt panel is a vintage rare find, Sumba Island, Indonesia.
Inkatha is an ancient resist-dyeing method where patterns are created by binding and dyeing yarns before they are woven into cloth. Made from hand-spun cotton, high quality weaving. Handcrafted in Southeast Asia these geometric patterns and animal figures are common in regional cultures representing local folklore or tribal symbols. Patterns are identical on both sides.
Purchased 1970’s traveling and stored since, never used. Pictures show you each and every angle, no hidden damages.
