… Read more This antique Uzbek Segusha is a traditional decorative ornament originating from Uzbekistan, often created by nomadic tribes like the Lakai.
The term “Segusha” means triangle. These pieces were traditionally used as decorative embellishments for bedding that was folded and stored along the walls of a yurt or tent.
They were often regarded as talismans. Tribal groups, particularly the Lakai, believed these objects possessed mystic powers that could protect against the “evil eye” and bad spirits, while helping to maintain good health.
Typically handmade using silk and cotton, often featuring intricate glass beadwork, metal caps or bells.

Purchased long ago 1970’s while traveling Central Asia’s remote villages, stored since. All dents and damages happened prior to new ownership. Pictures show you each and every angle.
This beautiful piece of history has been gently soaked and rinsed, ready for purchase.
