An impressive design that impresses not only with its dimensions but also with its simple elegance and high-quality materials and workmanship. The large reflector shade is designed as a hemisphere and sits at the end of a long curved arm. The dome of the shade is split, creating a large opening. This enables the special lighting effect of this floor lamp. In addition to the direct light shining downwards, indirect room light also emanates through the upper opening. The high-quality workmanship is evident once again in the details, such as the flanged design of the lower edge of the shade. The shade is mounted on several joints and can be rotated around the arm and around itself. The shade is penetrated by a cylinder with the socket at its inner end and a black button at its outer end. This push button is used to operate the lamp. The clamping rod is composed of several elements, has a spring at the bottom and plate feet at both ends. The curved element is connected to the clamping rod with a sleeve. This allows the curve to slide up and down the rod and rotate around it. The cable is fed invisibly into the curve to the shade and exits below the curved element.
The current height of max. 250 cm can be extended to a certain extent for higher ceilings. Suitable extension pieces can be reproduced by the former manufacturer for this purpose.
The lamp is in very good condition with signs of wear and a wonderful patina.
