A breathtaking mid-20th-century Italian giltwood pagoda mirror, richly carved and crowned with an ornate pagoda crest complete with its original carved, non-hollow bells. This rare form is instantly recognizable for its dramatic architectural silhouette, deep relief carving, and warm, aged gilded finish.
Stamped “Made in Italy” on the reverse and marked P-667, consistent with Italian export numbers used in the mid-1900s. The mirror displays the quintessential hand-carved detailing and layered water-gilding associated with Italian ateliers producing chinoiserie-inspired pieces for high-end boutiques in the 1950s-1970s.
