Three, branching, flowering, plum trees are finely carved and detailed in high relief, two on the neck below the lip, and one above the foot. The vase has a heavy, center band of four, finely carved, ornate beast heads in high relief on a ground of archaic dragons in low relief, alternating with heavy rectangular bosses and bracketed above and below, by smaller bands of round bosses on the same ground of archaic dragons in low relief. A band of large, leafy, Ru Yi lappets is finely carved and detailed above the central band. Circa Republic of China era. See less
