Rich in color with beguiling beauty, this hand knotted wool antique Persian Bijar rug beautifully embodies a Victorian style. The navy blue field is covered in an all-over Herati pattern. The Classic Herati pattern, also known as the Mahi or Fish pattern, is amongst the most widespread and well known of all Persian designs, consisting of a flower centered in a diamond accompanied by curving lanceolate leaves that resemble fish. It is enclosed with a botanical border flanked with an inner and outer floral meander guard border. Rendered in variegated shades of navy blue, ruby red, pink, verdigris, brown, and beige with other accent colors. Abrash. Hand-knotted wool. Made in Iran. Measures: 04'02 x 07'03. See less
