This is a decorative statement mirror that blends traditional Asian-inspired motifs with late 20th-century American design. The reverse-painted glass surround showcases hand-rendered scenes of flowering branches, birds, and winding landscape elements, all set against a luminous gilt ground. The églomisé technique lends depth and variation to the imagery, with fine brushwork and subtle patina visible throughout. The square form is bordered by a slim metallic frame that neatly contains the artwork while allowing the painted glass to remain the focal point. This mirror is signed by the artist on the bottom left, J. Beaukerna '83, adding a collectible, studio-art quality to the piece. It is in good condition, with visible and minimal wear from usage.
