Beautiful vintage Persian wooden trinket box featuring intricate camel bone inlaid marquetry mosaic work. The lid depicts a smiling couple, with the woman gracefully playing a musical instrument, a romantic and traditional Persian scene rendered in fine detail.
The craftsmanship and patterning are striking, making this box both a functional object and a decorative collectible. The warm wood tones paired with the delicate bone inlay give it a timeless, artisanal presence.
Condition
Good vintage condition overall. There are a few small missing inlay pieces along the rim/frame, consistent with age and use, and they do not detract from the beauty or structural integrity of the box. The lid and box remain solid and display beautifully.
