The company Ruscha Keramik was founded in 1948 and closed in 1996, producing high-quality ceramics with exclusive design and very particular colors; during the '50s, '60s, and '70s, the golden age of ceramics in Germany, Ruscha potters experimented with colors, glaze and shape creating objects with extremely distinctive styles and color combinations, which remain unique for this period of production (unmistakable is the "Fat Lava" style). Most of the best designers of that time worked for Ruscha, among them Kurt Tschorner, Otto Geraharz, Hanns Welling, and Adele Bolz, and contributed to make Ruscha the best company producing both vases and particular, unique and patented wall objects.
