Each lid is decorated … Read more A superb 20th century exceptionally rare set of four american solid silver and enamel cigarette boxes. Each lid is decorated with a different cigarette brand: “lucky strike,” “old gold,” “camel,” and “chesterfield.” the boxes feature a sliding mechanism, allowing them to interlock in pairs. The exterior is plain apart from the enamel decoration, while the interior is richly gilt. Each one is stamped "cartier, sterling 925 / 1000".
