Chinese porcelain lidded Hu form landscape vase, the lid finial is flanked by small Ru Yi handles, both the finial … Read more Chinese porcelain lidded Hu form landscape vase, the lid finial is flanked by small Ru Yi handles, both the finial and lid are decorated with polychrome floral medallions bracketed by multiple fine blue rings. The lip has a chevron border with an ornate Ru Yi border below, blending to a polychrome lattice of stylized buds, seeds and pink tassels on the neck, which is flanked by ornate stylized beast handles with red hoops. The front of the vase has a finely drawn Chinese family enjoying a colorful rock garden amid pine trees, bushes, animals and a garden wall, its opposite side depicts a departure of a Chinese elder across a river bridge with Chinese musicians and children amid a garden of bushes and shrubs. The stepped foot has a small convex band of floral medallions with a larger concave band of red latticed tiles and Ru Yi medallions below. The deeply inset base is glazed with a blue Qianlong reign mark. Circa early 20th century, no later than mid century.

The finely carved cong style Chinese hongmu base is included.
Height with base is 17 1/2". Base is 1 1/2"high x 8" across the feet, 6 1/2" across the flats. See less
