Vintage mid century 7 piece gold leaf Japanese lacquer ware serving set. This glamorous set includes 3 large nesting bowls and 4 medium sized serving bowls. They came from a very wealthy Japanese family that had an immaculate estate in Pasadena, CA. They were collectors of amazing vintage and Vintage pieces...all direct from Japan. Lacquer is a clear or colored finish that dries by evaporation and produces a hard durable finish. These pieces are solid and well made, with high gloss black bottoms / undersides. One has the original gold foil "JAPAN" sticker (photo in listing) from the designer. The perfect set for dining, serving, or decor to display in your mid century modern or hollywood regency home!
