A rare and early teak wood peppermill salt shaker combination attributed to Jens Quistgaard, produced in Denmark in the 1950s-1960s. Typical of early pieces, Quistgaard and Dansk pieces, the grinding mechanism was produced by, and is marked Peugeot. This piece is not marked Dansk, an indicator of its early production. There is a faded "Danmark" on the bottom side.
Salt can be loaded through the top by removing the wood peg. Pepper can be loaded through the bottom by removing the red peg.
