Over the course of a long career, Max Pollak exhibited widely and with success and was the recipient of numerous prizes, medals and juried awards, including at the Golden Gate International Exposition (1939) and the California Palace of the Legion of Honor (1940). Among many distinctions, he won the California Society of Etchers awards (1942, 1944, 1945) and the Chicago Society of Etchers Award (1942).
