This style is often referred to as a "gentleman's valet" or "silent butler" and is commonly associated with Danish Modern design from the 1960s. This was a piece of furniture that most well dressed men owned. The stand has a well done rush seat, the rush has been stretched by hand. The top tray holds key's, wallet, cufflinks, jewelry etc.. Mid Century valet chair in beechwood with corded seat. This lovely piece features a simple design with jewelry tray and pants hanger at the top, hanger for coats and shirts and a long bent neck that attaches to the corded seat. In very good condition with some of the wood stain coming away on the seat corners and a few minor marks on the neck and legs. These age related imperfections do not take away from the beautiful aesthetic of this valet chair. Would make a great addition to any bedroom decor style. Will be disassembled for shipping.
