A charming late 19th-century Victorian tête-à-tête (conversation sofa) crafted in solid walnut with beautifully carved details and an elegant S-shaped form. Designed so two sitters face one another, this classic “courting bench” was a staple of refined parlors and drawing rooms.
Features include a pierced and carved walnut gallery rail with floral motifs, turned supports, and tufted upholstered seats and backs in a soft cream damask fabric. The sculptural silhouette and warm wood patina make this both functional seating and a striking decorative statement.
