Egon Schiele ( 1890 - 1918 ) was an Austrian born Expressionist painter. A protege of Gustav Klimt, Schiele was a major figurative painter of The Early 20th Century. His work is noted for its intensity and raw sexuality, and the many self portraits he produced. The expressive line and particular body forms that characterize Schiele's paintings and drawings mark him as an early exponent of Expressionism.

He invested his art with an emotional intensity that, couples with his radical formal innovations, characterized the Austrian contributions to Expressionism. The existential explorations of the human condition convey him both as a product of his time and an artist who achieved aesthetic maturation when he was barely post adolescent. The rare out of print framed lithograph print Expressionist poster measures 25" W X 33" H X 7/8" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a classic Modern satin eggshell finish black wood frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
