I personally love this chair with its cherub upholstered tweed-like fabric covered with little putti and the dark walnut wood construction underneath. This chair has carved and turned walnut arms and legs. This is the perfect conversation piece of furniture for chit chat. The appraiser says it was made in the late 1870s -- the late 19th century.
The construction is sturdy and the fabric reveals a dark tweed unter the chair's shawl. Every chair should have a shawl, right?
