The oval porcelain bowl is finely hand-painted with continuous pastoral scenes inspired by 18th century fêtes galantes, depicting aristocratic figures in landscaped garden settings with architectural elements, flowering trees, and soft atmospheric skies. The scenes are executed in delicate pastel tones with exceptional painterly finesse, framed by a deep cobalt blue ground enriched with intricate gilt scrolling, foliate motifs, and banded borders that enhance the vessel’s classical silhouette.
The porcelain body is mounted in an elaborate gilt bronze structure of high quality, featuring a pierced gallery rim with scrolling acanthus and foliate ornament. Finely cast rectangular handles are applied at each side, decorated with classical floral rosettes and laurel-inspired detailing. The mounts descend into a sculptural pedestal base, richly chased with acanthus leaves and classical ornament, and raised on a stepped plinth that provides both stability and strong architectural presence.
