This is a Great Looking Authentic Antique English Staffordshire Pottery Dog - Spaniel. Large Size Measuring Overall Approx 12 3/4 inches Tall x 10 1/2 inches Long x 6 1/2 inches Wide. The Mold - Posed Form in itself is Quite Unusual but the Added Feature of Blue Eyes Adds Much to it Rarity. NOTE That the 3 Color Eyes Have Deep Blue & Black Irises with White Dot Pupils. Note Also that it has Small Yellow Decorated Features at the Sclera ( Eye Whites ) Corners - Points at the Nose Area. Other Hand Decorated Facial Features also include Unusually Detailed Whiskers. It was Produced During the Classic Victorian Era - Circa Mid 19th Century. Hollow Construction with the Earlier Style Fully Glazed Underside - Bottom Surfaces. The Classic Pearl Ware Glaze has Very Light Crazing - Typical of these Older Staffordshire Pottery Items. Other Decorated Features Include 22K Highlights. It is in Very Good Overall Original Condition and They Display Beautifully!. No Cracks - No Repairs. There is a Few Surface Imperfections on Black Glaze Lower Jaw and Nose Area - These Could Easily Be Cosmetically Vanished with a Few Dabs of Black Paint. Note Also That There is a Surface Factory Flaw Glaze Bubble Imperfection on the Left Side Center Area that Would have Occurred in the Kiln Firing Process.
