Chinese Mei-ping Form Monochrome Imperial Yellow Chinese Porcelain Vase Jug
Mei-ping from hand thrown porcelain vase in an Imperial monochrome egg yellow glaze. Features rolled mouth over a tapering cylinder neck, above ballooning shoulders, centering a subtle band, over a tapering body above a flared foot. The underfoot has a cobalt under glaze blue six-character seal within a circle of double lines. The seal is an attribution to Yongcheng period (1722-1735) following the reconstruction of the Imperial Kilns. Southern China, Republic Period, 1912-1949
