The cover … Read more Chinese porcelain blue and white covered meiping floor vase, hand painted blue and white glaze of the period. The cover has a blue peach finial centered within double blue circles and a stylized floral border bracketed by a single blue circle with Ru Yi lappets on the side of the cover. The neck of the vase is banded by eight matching large Ru Yi lappets and a border of six flower medallions amid branching buds and leaves. Large floral medallions are quartered on the body amid branching banana leaves bracketed by a border of six flower medallions amid branching buds and leaves above and below, a border of four of the Eight Sacred Buddhist Symbols amid dotted lattices. A blue six character Xuande reign mark is glazed above one of the large floral medallions on the body. The foot is banded by very large Ru Yi lappets matching those on the cover and below the neck, the inset base is unglazed. Circa Republic of China era or earlier. See less
