A pair of Chinese bronze six-sided, birds and flowers vases, of Hu form, replete with finely carved birds and flowers … Read more A pair of Chinese bronze six-sided, birds and flowers vases, of Hu form, replete with finely carved birds and flowers in high relief. Ornate, carved, stylized dragon handles flank the neck, an incised meander border bands the lip. Trees and flowers are carved on the six sides of the neck ending in two stepped bands of incised ornate archaic symbols at the neck base, six panels of birds and flowers with a four-character mark at the upper right form the body, ending in an extended foot banded with incised archaic symbols. A Xuande reign mark is carved to the inset hexagonal base of each vase. Circa late 19th century, no later than early 20th. See less
