Hand signed and noted. 3rd state very good condition. Ref. Salomon n. 116 a delicate and poetic impression by ker-xavier roussel, presenting an arcadian scene in which a faun emerges from the foliage at left, facing a slender nude figure at right, framed by a quiet woodland clearing and a distant horizon. Executed with an exceptionally light and refined hand, the composition evokes the artist’s symbolist sensibility and his enduring fascination with mythological reverie and pastoral imagery. The plate is printed with great subtlety, using fine line work and nuanced tonal passages to suggest depth and atmosphere. The present impression is signed “k. X. Roussel” in pencil, and bears indications consistent with an artist’s proof / early proof impression, adding to its desirability. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
