The surface shows remnants of original gilding combined with a darkened patina, creating a striking contrast and enhancing the sculptural quality of the carving. Natural wear, small losses, and surface irregularities are visible and fully consistent with the mirror’s age, contributing to its authentic antique character.

The mirror plate appears later but fits harmoniously within the historic frame. The reverse retains traditional construction elements, further supporting its 19th-century origin.
