The top drawer is shallow and more decorative than the other three. In this case the drawer front is convex and is distinguished by a row of carved-out vertical flutes alternating with narrow slits and shallow holes, rather like inverted exclamation marks. Of the three lower drawers the bottom one is deepest with the middle two being of equal depth. The front corners of the case are adorned with split balusters topped with elongated pyramid capitals. The wood is a warm honey color with an attractive grain pattern and mostly very small knots. See less
