Starting from a vial, … Read more The creation of a blown glass piece by Vetrart is a very particular and original process. Starting from a vial, and thanks to the use of the flame that makes the glass elastic, the master craftsmen heat the glass, working it by hand and blowing it by mouth. It is then placed in the oven before and after coloring. Finally it is decorated to make the objects even more brilliant. This piece is a a whimsical, art glass marvel. The base is a bright, saturated, and iridescent pink which fades into the coloration on the top which is a warm, peach, iridescent color. The stem which connects the base and the bowl is extremely whimsical, intricate, and curving...just amazing! And the bowl itself is made with beautiful style lines and a subtly scalloped and curved rim. This rare and one of a kind piece would make a perfect center piece, fruit bowl, stand alone artwork, or display piece. It has it's original sticker on the base which reads, "Soffieria Vetro, vetrart, made in Italy, blown glass"
