An early 20th century Burmese Shwe Zawa lacquerware beetle box. It is decorated in tradition of the red and black of the Shwe Zawa style. The delicacy of the hand-painted floral motifs reflects the age of the piece. This cylindrical box is made of lacquered woven bamboo. It open from the the top and holds plenty of storage.
