A lovely find, this vintage Buddhist monk carved statue from Burma is a work of art. Its hand carved in wood with a gilded finish over a lacquered base. It features beautiful facial expressions and stylized rope with jewel inserts. The statue represents Sariputra an important Buddha disciple. The statue show wear, paint loss and cracks but are in good structural condition.
