from England with a daffodil motif bestows elegance and tradition to any room. If this set could talk, it would tell so many stories -- so much drama.
Pottery companies began to produce pitcher and basin sets in the late 18th century. This auction find was produced in the mid to late 19th century. Almost every pottery and ceramic company produced these sets.
There is a bulbous pitcher with daffodil decoration and a shaped rim and gilt accents, together with a circular basin. It is marked underneath. It has a cream ground and tan ombre glazing.
The pitcher is 9 inches tall, 10 1/2 inches wide;
Basin: 3 inches tall, 17 inches diameter

CONDITION: A lot can happen between the mid 1800s and 2021. There is a hairline crack on the spout of the pitcher that is about two inches wide. Please see picture. See less
