This elegant set of five antique English salad plates was produced by George Jones & Sons in their celebrated Marlborough pattern. Finished in a richly saturated green with raised white floral and foliate relief, these plates exemplify the decorative appeal of Edwardian-era English ceramics.
The white centers display honest, period-appropriate crazing, typical of early 20th-century earthenware and valued by collectors as an indicator of age and authenticity. The true visual impact lies in the sculptural relief work and the uncommon depth of the green glaze.
