It features intricate hand-painted floral decorations in relief, primarily pink and yellow roses with green leaves, on an off-white or cream base. The piece includes elaborate scrollwork and extensive gold gilt trim on the handles, rim, and base. Capodimonte porcelain is a renowned Italian pottery tradition known for its fine craftsmanship style originating in Naples, Italy. This style is often used as a decorative centerpiece, soup tureen for serving or storing trinkets or candies. This item is likely dated to the mid-20th century, circa 1940s-1970s. This item does have a small hairline crack on the opening of the tureen. The crack does not go all the way through the item and it still holds liquid. The roses all appear to be intact and the item has been well taken care of and is in very nice shape for its age. See less
