These lamps are Chinese Hu archaic form used as food and wine vessels, furnishing the tombs of China’s elite in the 9th century. Thought to be cast in the 50’s to 70’s for lamps in Hollywood Regency style, during the popularity of James Mont, for the eclectic mix of Asian and mid-century modern of the era. The unique design will make a statement and add style to any room, truly timeless! Silk lamp shades can be included at no additional cost except shipping charges. Both lamps are in great working order, with sockets and wiring appearing to have been updated at some point in the past. Wood cap and base showing only some wear consistent to age. I have owned these for over 30 years and have not polished the metal and they have darkened with a rich patina over the years. Wooden base is W6.5” x D5”. Lamps height measurement variations are: 20” to the top of the socket; 14.4” to the top of the urn with wood cap; 27” to the top including the (10”) harp. If lampshades are provided by request, they are silk and almost new, measuring W16.5” x D11.5” x L11.75”.
