Handmade, artisan, studio craft, turned wood Postmodern bowl/vessel by Leon Novikoff.
Novikoff Furniture LTD., was founded by Leon Novikoff in 1959. Mr. Novikoff's hobby was woodworking and CONTEXTvintage was fortunate enough to acquire several of his beautiful pieces, which we are offering here, on 1stDibs.
In excellent original condition, with age wear includes small age fissures, as shown. A smaller glass vessel could easily be tucked inside of the larger wood vessel to safely hold water and a spray of beautiful florals.
The diameter of the vessel and graining to the wood is what makes this piece so special. The proportions are unique and draw the eye immediately. This one of a kind piece was turned by hand and a wonderful piece of Minimalist functional art.
