Vintage light yellow candle holder with a green handle made by Poppytrail by Metlox Pottery in the Homestead pattern. Metlox Pottery was made in Manhattan Beach, California.
Metlox began producing housewares In the late 1920s and early '1930s, looking for ways to increase revenue during the Great Depression. Prior to that time, the company focused on making large ceramic signs for theaters and other businesses. The Poppytrail line was introduced in the 1930s and sustained as a popular seller for many years and is a collector item today.
