A pair of exquisitely detailed Japanese Takaoka bronze incense burners in the form of the Luduan or Foo Dogs mythical beast. Large removeable head and rounded muscular body with a rampant tail, standing on four legs with head raised up, mouth agape teeth exposed for the smoke to rise. Signed, two character ancient Chinese symbols to underside.
