Absolutely stunning 1950's mid century modern art pottery charger / decorative bowl by the very well listed and famed ceramicist Joseph David Broudo of Massachusetts! This is done in his classic Sgraffito style and features an amazing bull! This is hands down one of his nicest works in my opinion and in great condition as well with no chips or cracks!
Joseph David Broudo (b.1920-) graduated from Alfred University with a degree in Ceramic Art and Design in the 1940's. Broudo taught at Endicott College, where he was the Director of the Art Program for over 48 years. Broudo's work is in the permanent collection of The Schein-Joseph International Museum of Ceramic Art, as well as numerous private and public collections around the world
It measures 12 3/4" in diameter and is 2 1/2" deep. Signed Broudo in the ceramic on the back as shown.
