This is a collection of four antique sad irons dating to the late 19th century. The heavy flat iron bases include three Asbestos brand irons along with one unmarked example. Substantial in weight, these irons are well suited for use as doorstops or paperweights, and as a group they create a strong decorative statement. Reflecting early household and laundry history.
