Magnificent Provençal bread box, entirely made of solid walnut, dating from the 18th century.
A very beautiful piece of typical Provençal furniture used for storing bread.
The upper rail is decorated with a bouquet of flowers, two arrows, and numerous branches. The lower rail is decorated in the same style.
In the central section, there is a small applied door decorated with a small capital and three arrows.
It opens with a large cylindrical iron hinge. The door has its original lock and hardware, as well as a working key.
The door is surrounded by turned spindles, which are also found on both sides of the piece.
The bread box rests on Louis XV style scroll feet.
Beautiful patina and in perfect condition.
