Chinese porcelain Da Ya Zhai grisaille fengweizun, a phoenix tail vase with an imperial yellow exterior and a white glazed … Read more Chinese porcelain Da Ya Zhai grisaille fengweizun, a phoenix tail vase with an imperial yellow exterior and a white glazed interior and inset base. The vase is decorated with finely drawn and shaded magpies perched on branching, leafy, peony bushes with blossoms amid intertwined, leafy, fruited, grape vines all in a grisaille, low relief. A red, Da Ya Zhai mark and a red and white, Tian Di Yi Jia Chun, oval cartouche, are glazed to the body of the vase. A Leisure/Retreat House stamp (United Wilson of Hong Kong) is glazed to the inset base. Circa Republic of China era, no later than mid century. A few unobtrusive pits and kiln maculae as made, otherwise excellent vintage condition.
