Superb and rare late 16th-century Italian Renaissance walnut chest
A beautiful chest with superb molding work on its front and a beautiful base. The front and base are reminiscent of a Roman temple, with column bases and an acanthus leaf in the center.
The lid reveals a compartment and two small drawers.
Superb quality walnut.
Very beautiful molded top with a superb patina and lacework.
