BIO:
ROBERT R. ECKER
American painter & printmaker (1936- )
From the Fall 2004 issue of Forbes FYI Magazine: Robert R. Ecker has been declared "ingenious" and a "find" by The New York Times, and a painter whose "works gleam with wit and art historical reference" by the Rocky Mountain News. His mysterious, precisely drafted works grace collections from the Smithsonian to the Denver Art Museum. But this former, longtime professor at the University of Colorado remains somehow below the threshold of popular recognition (and big-name pricing).
