Monumental curved decorative skylight panel featuring a frosted translucent surface with an ornate classical stencil pattern, housed in its original heavy metal frame. This piece was purchased by the current owner at a public auction in the 1980's held in connection with renovations of the Texas State Capitol in Austin, Texas, and has remained in private ownership since that time.
Substantial in scale and construction, the skylight's curvature and depth indicate custom fabrication rather than decorative reproduction, making it a rare example of historic architectural salvage. The panel retains its original character and patina consistent with age and prior architectural use.
An exceptional statement piece suitable for display, adaptive reuse, or incorporation into a restoration or design project. Ideal for collectors of Texas history, architectural salvage enthusiasts, or designers seeking a one-of-a-kind focal element.
