The artist Filippo Indoni, was a well-regarded genre painter from the second half of the 19th century and this piece was painted in 1875. The grand piece depicts two Neopolitan boy in time era attire set in a pastoral landscape. The scene captures a moment of interaction and movement, with expressive gestures and detailed garments that suggest a narrative rooted in everyday life. This wonderful art piece had lived a long a fabulous life in the historical restaurant, Alioto's in the San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf. In good condition, visible and minimal wear from usage.
