A coordinated pair of turn of the century Continental decorative porcelain ewer forms from the Jugendstil era, circa 1895 to 1910. Both pieces feature an intense thick green satin glazed ground with sculptural, organic silhouettes, accented by applied porcelain flowers and leaves in warm enamel tones with touches of gilt.
The modeling is intentionally expressive, with exaggerated spouts and textured surfaces that feel very of-the-period for Central European Art Nouveau decorative ware. One base bears a scratched factory form number “8375,” along with additional factory or sizing marks.
Ideal as cabinet pieces, mantel accents, or a shelf pair where the saturated glaze and sculptural profiles can do their thing.
